Some ads, a blog; and the blatant misuse of a semicolon.

About

wilcox

This is my lame attempt at seeming important. I’m deliberately looking away from the camera to look all mysterious and shit.  I opted for black and white photography because I didn’t really have a choice.  I’m wearing a trendy collared shirt because I’m a slave to branding. My hair’s messy because I don’t own a comb. I’m sporting  facial hair in the hopes of appearing masculine, rugged and carefree. But mostly rugged.

I’ve been a a rugged ad guy for about 15 years. During this time, some of my less embarrassing ads have been recognized by Cannes, Communication Arts, the One Show, the Clios, London International Awards, Creativity, Graphis, ET Canada and I’d like to say the Smithsonian but then I’d be fibbing. Recently, a television commercial that I wrote for The International Dyslexia Organization was used as a case study for Stanford University’s Marketing program. Not the Smithsonian mind you, but somewhat close. Geographically speaking.
